Features for More Connectivity
Compact and Modular I/O Portfolio
Up to 16 I/O points within only 12 mm width help maximize signal density. Push-in connectors and removable plugs reduce downtime and simplify wiring.
EtherCAT as far as the terminal
As an I/O system, ctrlX I/O offers maximum connectivity and enables connection to EtherCAT, one of the largest industrial ecosystems for I/Os, slaves and fieldbus devices. This makes real-time data processing possible at the machine control level. Other established communication standards such as IO-Link are also supported. Users benefit from a virtually unlimited portfolio of powerful and freely combinable interfaces for automation.
Reduced engineering workload
The simulation of I/O and peripheral levels and the use of digital twins for offline commissioning are key to reducing the engineering workload and using third-party devices. The ctrlX Configurator provides optimum support for the selection and configuration of ctrlX I/O stations, making it quick and easy to achieve the correct design.
Ready for the Future Thanks to Connectivity
Thanks to its impressive connectivity, the I/O system is designed for future-proof automation and is therefore open to future trends. Upgrades, remote updates and ongoing extensions are easily possible. With the co-creation concept, partners can contribute to the Ecosystem by developing their own ctrlX I/O modules, allowing them to benefit across the board.
