Plug & Play Drive Technology
ctrlX DRIVE supports a wide range of machine requirements, from input-level axes with command
value control to drive-integrated motion systems. With broad voltage coverage, low-voltage servo
terminal options and multi-Ethernet and multi-encoder flexibility, machine builders can design
drive architectures that fit the application without locking themselves into one rigid topology.
Space-Saving Yet Powerful
ctrlX DRIVE is designed for machine builders who need more performance in less space. The
modular drive system supports simple single-axis applications as well as complex multi-axis
systems, while reducing required control cabinet space by up to 50%. The cabinet-free IP65/IP67
version can reduce space and cabling requirements by up to 90%, making it especially valuable
for modular and decentralized machine concepts.
Scalable and Consistent
The ctrlX DRIVE portfolio provides customized drive solutions with peak currents from 6 A to
375 A. With supply unit outputs of up to 260 kW, the platform can support extensive machine
designs while maintaining consistency across the drive architecture. This makes it easier to
scale machine designs, standardize components and support future machine variants.
Open – But Safe with ctrlX SAFETY
In combination with ctrlX SAFETY, ctrlX DRIVE supports safety concepts ranging from
drive-integrated SafeMotion solutions to complete safety control systems. SafeMotion software is
available in practical entry-level and high-end versions, helping engineers match the safety
approach to the machine’s application requirements.
Servo Motors Matched to the Drive System
The ctrlX DRIVE portfolio is rounded out by Bosch Rexroth servo motor families including MS2N, MS2E and MS2S. These motors combine compact dimensions, dynamic performance and accuracy in position, speed and torque values. Single-cable connection options, multiple sizes and flexible configuration choices help machine builders select the right motor for each axis and application.
